Marketplace rules

Anyone with an account can list. Trust gets built through trades, so keep it simple and honest. Wondering about the green names? See What is a Trusted Trader? Markers and Gear each have a pinned guide with a few extra requirements.

Posting

• Use the right forum. Selling, trading, and wanted posts all live together there. Pick the tag from the dropdown (WTS want to sell, WTT want to trade, WTB want to buy) and write the title as what it is - price. For example: [WTS] Planet Eclipse CS3 - $950. Switch the tag to SOLD (or FOUND for a wanted post) when you're done.
  
• Use the filter buttons above the list to see just WTS, WTT, or WTB.
  
• Put the details in the post: condition, photos, and where you ship. The condition is required in the post (it's optional in the title).
  
• Every WTS and WTT listing in Markers and Gear needs a verification photo (details in each forum's pinned guide). Wanted posts don't.
  
• Bump your own post no more than once every 24 hours. If you drop the price, update the title too.
  
• Tanks: show the hydro date, and never ship a tank with air in it.
  

Payment

• PayPal Goods & Services is the default for every sale. It protects both sides.
  
• Anything else only if both of you agree to it in the thread. Friends & Family is for people you know, not for sales.
  
• Say in the listing who covers the PayPal fees. If it isn't mentioned, the price is assumed to include them.
  

Dealing

• Keep the conversation in the thread where you can. It protects both sides.
  
• Ship with tracking, and insurance for anything valuable.
  
• If a deal falls through, say so in the thread instead of deleting it.
  
• After a trade, leave feedback. How that works.
  

Not allowed

• Stolen or counterfeit gear, and misleading photos.
  
• Fake feedback, or trading with yourself or alt accounts to boost a record.
  

Shops and brands
New gear from businesses is welcome. Send a moderator a quick PM first and we'll set you up cleanly.

If something goes wrong
Message the other person first and keep it calm. If that doesn't work, post in Trader Feedback & Scam Reports with the facts: the listing link, messages, and tracking or payment proof. A moderator will review it. Please don't call people out in the original listing.
