Forum Announcement: How feedback and reputation work
How feedback and reputation work

PBWire has two separate trust signals. Both are meant to be useful, not stressful.

1. Reputation (the number on a member's profile)
A general thumbs-up for helpful, friendly members. Click Rate on any post to give someone reputation, with a short reason.

2. Trade feedback ("Total Feedback" next to a name)
This is a member's trading record. Every piece of feedback is about a specific listing, so you can always see what the deal was.

Leaving feedback after a trade
  1. Click Add Feedback on a post by the person you traded with in Markers or Gear. Their listing works fine.
  2. Which trade? Pick the listing the deal was about. It is usually already selected for you. You can choose a listing that either of you posted.
  3. Give a star rating from 1 to 5: 4 or 5 stars counts as a positive review, 3 as neutral, and 1 or 2 as negative.
  4. Write a sentence or two about how it went (at least 20 characters). For example: "Item exactly as described, packed well, shipped the next day."
Next to every member's name you will see their average rating and number of trades, for example "4.8 stars, 12 trades". Click it to read the full feedback.

Good to know
  • To leave feedback, an account needs to be about a week old with a few posts. This keeps fake accounts out. Anyone can receive feedback.
  • One feedback per listing. If you traded more than once, each deal has its own listing.
  • Be fair and specific. If something went wrong, try to sort it out first. Going negative should be a last resort, not a first reaction.
  • Feedback can't be edited or deleted by members. If there's a mistake or a dispute, report it and a moderator will look.
  • Fake feedback (trading with yourself, alts, or friends just to build a record) is the one thing we do come down on hard.

Trusted Trader
Members whose account is at least two weeks old and who have positive (4 or 5 star) feedback from at least three different members get the Trusted Trader title and a green name automatically. Read what it does and does not mean.
